Somerville, MA Covid-19 Response Support (2020)

RZHQ provided subject matter expertise to guide planning and response efforts for the City of Somerville, MA in response to the COVID-19 outbreak. This support included developing and implementing a virtual emergency operations center (EOC), and providing training and guidance to all staff sections. RZHQ developed procedures to assist staff in gaining and maintaining situational awareness of COVID-19 response efforts at the federal, state and local level. RZHQ provided Just-in-Time training support for the Emergency Response Team and other stakeholders. This included developing and conducting a workshop focused on addressing surge management requirements. RZHQ supported planning efforts such as the development of a Food Distribution plan and operational procedures. And, RZHQ developed outbreak response and a comprehensive After Action Report/Improvement Plan (AAR/IP) highlighted best practices and lessons learned from the city’s response efforts
