ReadyZoneHQ (RZHQ) designed, developed, conducted, and evaluated a Seminar for the Kapolei Local Emergency Action Network (K.L.E.A.N.). The seminar focused on emergency evacuation issues related to an extreme tsunami threat impacting the Campbell Industrial Park and the surrounding communities.
The seminar included presentations from experts on tsunami detection and warning, potential tsunami impacts, evacuation planning for the public, and the roles and responsibilities of government agencies during a disaster. The report details the presentations, participant questions, and recommendations for future preparedness efforts. The seminar emphasized the importance of individual preparedness, including having a personal plan, go kit, and emergency supplies. The report highlights the need for improved evacuation routes, communication systems, and coordination among various organizations and agencies.
A total of 70 participants from 43 organizations representing Local, State, and Federal agencies attended the seminar.
