ReadyZoneHQ developed and conducted the Hawaii State Department of Health Point of Dispensing (POD) Drill in preparation for an upcoming Hawaii Strategic National Stockpile Full Scale Exercise.
A total of 69 personnel participated in the drill from the five organizations representing medical, educational, and military interests. The purpose of the training was to ensure participants were able to:
- Understand the purpose of the Strategic National Stockpile
- Describe the management system for POD operations
- Describe roles of POD staff
- Demonstrate correct use of POD equipment
- Setup and operate a POD including providing guidance and training to line staff
