ReadyZoneHQ (RZHQ) supported the State of Hawai‘i Office of Homeland Security’s (OHS) development of the Targeted Violence Prevention (TVP) Strategy Implementation Plan. The TVP plan lays out a comprehensive framework for preventing targeted violence in Hawai‘i, encompassing preparation, prevention, and monitoring phases. The plan outlines eleven goals, each with objectives and activities, designed to establish a statewide TVP program, build a collaborative network, secure a conducive environment for implementation, enhance capacity among stakeholders, reduce and mitigate risk factors, educate the community, ensure effective Behavioral Threat Assessment/Management (BTAM) Teams, foster community resilience, facilitate rehabilitation, sustain political will and funding, and support professional development and learning. The plan also includes a detailed risk management plan and appendices with acronyms, a glossary, references, acknowledgments, and plan maintenance procedures.
