ReadyZoneHQ (RZHQ) supports FEMA’s National Business Emergency Operations Center (NBEOC) in collaboration with the Office of Business, Industry, and Infrastructure Integration (OB3I) to develop the Business and Economic Analysis Dashboards (BEAD). These dashboards and reports equip FEMA users with a blend of open-source and commercial business data, offering critical economic insights into key lifelines and supply chains during planning, response, and recovery phases. The BEAD dashboards cover a range of topics, including general business impacts, jobs and workforce indicators, gas and grocery supply chains, ports and commodities, and incident-specific points of interest (POIs).
The RZHQ project team collaborates with clients, various stakeholder groups, and private data providers to produce near-real-time disaster impact analyses. To date, BEAD reports have been instrumental in tracking impacts on gas and grocery supply chains and FEMA lifelines across more than 15 different disasters, including the Maui Wildfires, the Baltimore Bridge Collapse, and Hurricanes Idalia and Helene. Besides custom incident reporting, the project team offers training sessions and demonstrations of the available dashboards to federal, state, local, and territorial partners, helping them apply these tools to their own scenarios of interest.
