This Tabletop Exercise involved the development, conduct, and evaluation of tabletop exercises for the Hawaii Department of Health to test stakeholder emergency preparedness and response.

The TTX was designed to allow players to discuss transportation, notification, and waste management issues related to a potential Ebola patient requiring air medical transport (AMT) to Oahu from a neighbor island. Specifically, the exercise allowed players to test the following public health preparedness capabilities:

  • Emergency Operations Coordination
  • Information Sharing
  • Medical Materiel Management and Distribution

“Overall this is the right type of exercise for the state to be doing now!”
“This was a good start, thanks for providing the forum for feedback”
“Great idea for a TTX”
